About EFSS
The Economic Family Support Services (EFSS) of the Cabarrus County Department of Human Services works in conjunction with public and private organizations to help families with child support, daycare, employment and financial needs.
Available services include:
- Child support establishment and enforcement
- Daycare assistance
- Crisis financial services
- Work First family assistance and employment services
Introducing The EbtEDGE Mobile App
The NC Department of Health and Human Services recently unveiled a new tool for those receiving help buying food through the Food and Nutrition Services program or cash assistance through the Word First program.
That tool, ebtEDGE, is a mobile app that will allow people in the two programs to use their smartphone to look up their account balance, deposit and transaction history, and benefit schedules. Recipients will still be able to also use existing channels to find this information, such as calling 1-888-622-7328.
