Special Response Team

Special Response Team

​Comprised of numerous members -- including EMS paramedics -- the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) is a group of officers that undergoes many hours of intensive, tactical training with specialized weapons and equipment to respond to high-risk calls and other dangerous situations in the county.

The team helps with high-risk arrests and search warrants, hostage rescue situations, barricaded armed individuals and other high risk situations.

The SRT team is on a constant, 24-hour standby.

The Crisis Negotiation Team is a separate unit made of patrol and investigative deputies who collaborate with the Special Response Team.
