Emery Ortiz

Emery Ortiz has spent three years with the County after previously working as assistant director and branch manager in Onslow County, in addition to working with other state library systems.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNC Charlotte, and earned a master’s of library and information studies from UNC Greensboro.

Ortiz wants libraries to be seen beyond their ability to provide reading material, and provide safe and fun places for Cabarrus County residents to gather, learn and enrich through a multitude of resources and opportunities.
