Courtroom Security

The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our local courthouse.

Courthouse visitors are subject to a search of both their items and their person. No weapons of any kind are allowed in the courthouse, including pocket knives, scissors, pepper spray, or anything else that can be considered a weapon.

No recording or photographs can be taken in the courthouse. If a person needs a recorder or camera for evidence in their case, the courtroom bailiff will hold the item until it is needed and and it will be returned to the person when they leave the courthouse.

The Cabarrus County courthouse is open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
