How can people in NC apply for FNS?

There are three ways to apply for Food and Nutrition Services (Food Stamps):

  1. Apply online with ePass
  2. Apply in person at your Department of Human Services (DHS) office. It helps to fill out as much of the application as possible ahead of time.
  3. Fill out a paper application and mail to or drop off at your county DHS office.

LunchPlus Club

The LunchPlus Club is more than just a nutritious meal. It's a Wellness Program that provides a a variety of fun, exercise and educational activities to engage participants socially, physically and mentally. For participant convenience, six (6) locations throughout Cabarrus County are available: Concord, Midland, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Mt. Pleasant and Northwest Cabarrus.

The LunchPlus Program is offered to Cabarrus County residents ages 60 and above. It provides an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy companionship. Volunteer opportunities are also available for those who would like to contribute their time and talents.

Transportation is available through Cabarrus County Transportation Services, depending on location.
