Health Support Services

Health Support Services

Problem Pregnancy services provide individuals with the needed help and support in solving medical, social, educational and psychological problems associated with unplanned pregnancies. Services include counseling and information to help recipients make voluntary choices regarding the pregnancy.

The State Maternity Home Fund, a component of Problem Pregnancy, provides payment for up to six months of residential care and services. The fund pays for care and related medical services for any North Carolina resident who is expecting and is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Funds may be provided regardless of age or marital status for the expectant mother who is unable to remain in her own home during the prenatal period.

Contact the Adult and Aging services line at 704-920-1400 for questions about Problem Pregnancy/Health Support services.
