Indexes

​An index is the system by which a document can be located after recording. The Register of Deeds office has several "time-framed" indexes available. If you are not familiar with the North Carolina Minimum Indexing Standards, please ask the staff for assistance. You may choose to use the hard copies or the computer system during your visit to the office. Indexes and images of documents from 1792 to present may be found on our remote access site. All subdivision plats, condo plats, and NC right-of-way maps can also be found on this site.
