Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office Internships

The Sheriff's Office offers internships to college students on an ongoing basis.

Benefits of an internship include but are not limited to: college credit for work experience, training, addition to resume and the satisfaction of giving back to the community. Interns help our office carry out many vital and support functions and also aid in developing closer links among the communities of Cabarrus County.

Interns are usually assigned to a specific division or unit in the office based on their interests. Jobs include:

  • Data entry
  • Crime scene assistance
  • Patrol ride along
  • Assisting record personnel
  • Assisting civil officers
  • Jail inmate booking
  • Communications

Interns are asked to work a set number of hours per week based on the requirements of their class. Hours are flexible, enabling students to work around their class schedule.
