Crisis Financial Assistance

About Crisis Financial Assistance

Crisis Financial Assistance Programs help individuals who do not qualify for any other emergency programs or whose needs cannot be met through other resources.

Each program has different eligibility requirements, and a monetary limit has been set for all programs.

Assistance cannot be provided from more than one program and often there must be other committed funds from the person, family, friends or community agencies to allow the crisis need to be met. A Social Worker will assess your situation and review program requirements with you to determine if help can be provided. If assistance can’t be provided, the Social Worker will talk with you about community agencies that may be able to assist.

The Programs Have Specific Guidelines And Cannot Be Utilized Unless The Following Criteria Is Met:

  • There must be a documented crisis, beyond the individual's control, that occurred within the last 30 days that would have caused the person to be unable to fulfill the financial obligation for which they are requesting assistance.
  • The person must show that the income they will receive in the next month will be sufficient to allow them to maintain their ongoing expenses.

  • Utility notices
